All About Korea’s Digital Nomad Visa

Korea’s Digital Nomad “Workcation” Visa allows foreigners to travel and work remotely long-term in Korea. With the Digital Nomad Visa, you can fully immerse yourself in the Korean culture while working from wherever you want at the same time for one whole year. To be eligible for the Digital Nomad Visa, you must be a non-Korean citizen who is affiliated with an international company, meets the required minimum work experience and income, and can work remotely. If you want to break out of your norm and seek new experiences, consider Korea as your workcation destination! Q.. I am a freelancer. Am I eligible? ➔ A. Currently, the Digital Nomad Visa is eligible only to workers who are hired by or affiliated with an overseas business organization, and therefore not available to freelancers. Q.. Is the required income based on before or after tax deductions? ➔ A. The required income is based on gross income before tax deductions. Q.. I am coming with my family. Do my family members need to meet the visa eligibility requirements, too? ➔ A. Family members of the Digital Nomad Visa applicant are not required to meet the visa requirements as long as the applicant is eligible and documents proving kinship (i.e. family certificate) are provided. Q.. Will my visa be revoked if I leave my employer after I enter Korea with the Digital Nomad Visa? ➔ A. You are not legally required to report your working status after you enter Korea with the Digital Nomad Visa. However, you will not be eligible for visa extension and must leave the country by the visa expiration date. Q.. Do I need to pay taxes to Korea for overseas income? ➔ A. According to Income Tax Act Article 3 (Scope of Taxable Income), a foreign resident who has had his/her domicile or place of residence for not more than five years in total from ten years before the end of the relevant taxable period, a tax shall be imposed only on his/her income paid in or remitted to the Republic of Korea, in cases of taxable income from foreign sources. Get Ready for the 2024 K-Food Show

The 2024 Seoul Food Distribution Expo and the K-Food Show will take place at the Korea Press Center and Seoul Plaza respectively on Wednesday, June 12. The opening ceremony is planned for 09:00 at the international conference hall in the Korea Press Center, along with a variety of exhibitions and programs held at the nearby Seoul Plaza and Seoul Madang. The Seoul Food Distribution Expo will host a K-food global marketing strategic conference at the international conference hall in the Korea Press Center. 150 guests will be invited to attend and take part in the conference covering topics related to food and distribution. In the meantime, the K-Food Show will take place at Seoul Plaza from 09:00 to 17:00 for the general public. Promotional booths featuring variety of food businesses will be available, offering a chance to taste popular Korean foods. A ramyeon structure will be installed on display at the center of the venue for taking photos. Food trucks will be parked, along with seat and table set-ups, at Seoul Madang in front of the Korea Press Center. Korea Travel Fair 2024, Korea Comes to Singapore!

The Korea Travel Fair 2024 is taking place at Marina Square in Singapore from May 17-19, 2024. The Korea Tourism Organization is launching a hybrid marketing strategy as a way to appeal to both online and offline participants and to promote Korea as a tourist destination along with its culture and activities in the lieu of Visit Korea Year 2023-2024. The Korea Travel Fair 2024 will kick off with an opening ceremony on May 17 at 10:00, local time. Several programs are prepared, ranging from Korea tour advice & offers, 1330 Korea Travel Helpline promotions, Korean performance promotions to diverse interactive events. The most anticipated events include live shows and activities like the K-beauty Makeup Show and K-pop dance lessons.
